Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. She was the sole child from Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she turned 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress.
