Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading part in a variety of television dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also critically acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring the divas. Alexandra worked on several significant international and national productions throughout her career. The projects comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
